While Pivotal Sports Management was launched just over a year ago by Derrick Ross, a former MLB scout and professional baseball analyst, the vision for the agency has been something Ross has been dreaming and planning for years. Ross is a former MLB scout for both the Tigers and Indians and has been an on-air analyst for Fox Sports Detroit who has an intense love for the game. He teamed up with Cameron Evans, a nationally-recognized attorney experienced in representing collegiate, professional and Olympic athletes, and Sativa Ross, a seasoned marketing and PR executive, to round out PSM’s services. Ross’ vision for PSM is to become an elite sports agency, being a trusted advisor and mentor to baseball players on and off the field. And with hard work and diligence, that dream is becoming reality as Pivotal announces the signing of two local players who are chasing a dream of a similar kind – becoming major league baseball players.

The Texas Rangers drafted Henry Ford College baseball player Kyle Roberts in the 5th round of the 2016 MLB draft. And Ben Sheckler of Cornerstone University became the first CU MLB draft pick in school history when the San Diego Padres selected him in the 8th Round. Both left immediately for their respective team training.
